Air Quality around our school and Walk to School
The Year 3, 4,and 5 Green Team children used Air Quality Monitors to record the quality of air around our school at busy drop-off times and compared it to a quiet time during the day. We found dangerously high levels of pollution in the air at busy times. Watch our video to learn more...
Clean Air Video - Long
Dr Sinead Jones from Ashville Surgery, who spoke to our children about the dangers of air pollution also made another video about the air quality around our school. You can watch her video here:
What is the air quality in Manchester like doctor?
We would like to encourage all our children and staff to make active journeys...walk, cycle or park at least 10 minutes away from school so that we can all breathe in cleaner air.
We record our journeys everyday using the Wow Walk to School Travel Tracker.

Parentkind, our parent volunteer group are organising road closures once every half term to encourage our families to make active journeys. If you would like to volunteer for the road closures, please contact the school office.
