Ten Little Fingers and Ten Little Toes, Super Duper You, The Family Book, The Feeling Book, Lulu’s First Day 

Personal, Social and Emotional

To recognise how they are feeling and begin to name how they are feeling.

To know what the right choices are in school.

Communication and language

To join the other children on the carpet at group times.

To understand the words like and dislike.

To know who is in their immediate family and to and name them e.g. mum, dad, siblings.

Physical Development

To turn the pages of a book gently, one at a time.

To know that if they have their arms outstretched by their sides, this will help them to balance.

Knowledge and Understanding of the World

To notice the differences between themselves and other people and to understand that differences are what make us unique and special.

To know that families look different and can be made up of different people, e.g. One parent families.

To know that as we get older, we grow and look different.

Expressive Arts and Design

To know that if they mix paint colours together, it changes the colour.

To draw circles and lines to represent their face and facial features.

To put glue on the item that they want to stick down before putting it on the paper.
