To seek out other children to share their experiences with.

To feel confident to answer a question during group time.

To know what to do if they get hurt, are upset, need help.

To begin to talk to their peers during partner work.

To be resilient in the face of challenge e.g. asking for help to open a door rather than becoming upset.

Communication and Language

To understand the concept of now and next.

To know what a festival/celebration is.

To talk about a festival/ celebration that they have celebrated.

To know that we ask a question when we want to know more about something.

To know that he/him/his relates to males and she/her/hers relates to females.

Physical Development

To make marks that are meaningful to them and to be able to tell an adult what they represent.

To be able to balance blocks/ bricks on top of each other to build a structure.

To identify hazards and negotiate the space around them.

To be able to name some celebrations that are important to them, e.g. birthday, Christmas, Diwali, Eid.

To begin finding similarities and differences between past and present celebrations by looking at photographs.

To act out a celebration e.g. attending a birthday party.

To use props to support role-play e.g. presents under the Christmas tree.
